Save The Funeral Home

The Funeral Home has been putting on shows featuring local and national touring bands for six years now with no intervention from police officers or city officials. This is a venue run for the people by the people. No one makes a profit here. In fact, those “running” The Funeral Home have put forth much time and capital out of pocket to keep this place going. On Tuesday, April 16th 2013 The Funeral Home received two citations and was officially shut down as a music venue.
The Tickets:
1.       Violation of chapter 75 section 13 – no live music license $52.50
2.       Violation of chapter 293 section 4 & 7 – excessive noise and live band $75
This in not a big deal but the officers warned Clint if they had to come again he would be arrested and they photographed our chalk board with the list of upcoming events.
Our Goals:
1.       Get the place up to code (in order to)
2.       Obtain a live music license (so we can)
3.       Create and run a multipurpose Venue
What we need:
Capital to make all the proper repairs in order to bring the building up to code
How we will get it:
Fundraising
·         April 27th and 28th we will be hosting a Yard Sale
o   We already have vintage clothing, band shirts, cds, records, etc. and we are asking for as many donations as possible. If anyone has anything they would like to donate contact Clint or Nicole.

Things we can do to create positive energy and gain the support of locals:

·         Sign our guestbook and share what The Funeral Home means to you
·         Set up a benefit show
·         Spread the word
o   Share our story through social media
Overall, there are too many live music venues closing in Buffalo. We have counted at least seven in the past four months; and many of those that are still open charge way too much to host a show. We are in desperate need of a low cost medium size venue. If we are unable to reach our goal of keeping The Funeral Home alive as a venue we fully intend on finding a new one.

  2. I'll donate a few bucks via PayPal. Only been to the Funeral Home once last year as I live in Toronto but I'm starting to make the trek down to Western NY more and more for shows, but it was great! And I'm trying to spread the word around to get bands from the GTA to come down to Buffalo to do some shows and this would be the ideal place to do so.

  3. I'm poor as hell, but I'm definitely down with helping on the cleanup and renovations and what not.

  4. I guess Clint can dish it out but can't take it. Another pussy move on his part. Expect trouble at the yard sale.

  6. Also I believe Clint Carr isn't his real name. I will find out more when his Chesterville, OH Birth Certificate arrives.

  7. While you have been jerking off into cupcakes, I have done some research, turns out Clint Carr is an alias. I knew the name sounded a little phony. His real name is Brian Aquilina. I will reveal more when I get the big reveal page up and running and get a copy of his Morrow county birth certificate.

  8. Does it really matter what his real name is? Regardless of who he is, the idea is to save the venue. If he's really this shady of a dude, someone just needs to step up and run the fun home instead. Thats all.

    1. I agree with this statement. "Clint Carr", Brian Aquilina is shady. I'm more anti Clint/Brian Aquilina than anti Funeral Home because he likes to cyberbully autistic children and adults and won't back up the claims in person. See he was saying I stole the Cannibal Corpse guitar that I won, and how much of a retard I am, and calling me Jofa and all this shit on the internet. So I ended up going down to his place to get him to say that shit to my face, and he ended up hiding in the fucking attic like Anne Frank.

  9. So if I show up to the yardsale and buy something, is Clint going to run off to Reeelapse and say I stole it like the guitar?

  10. Mr. Constantino, you should get a life! no? I think you would find more happiness doing so rather than polluting a venue forum...It doesnt matter what his real name is, who cares besides yourself? If he did something wrong then im sure he will have something coming, but from what i can see, you seem to be the one having the shit coming to you. How bout you try to grow up and focus on something that can get you somewhere, besides trying to bring others down.

    1. Perhaps you havent seen the 185 page thread about me, started by Clint/Brian, where he calls me his "Jofa", which is his word for a retard. I'm not even retarded, and that didn't bother me, what did bother me was him saying I stole the Cannibal Corpse guitar from Tony Lorenzo, when I won it fair and square. Also calling me a pedophile, email hacks, facebook hacks where he had his buddies hack my facebook account to write nasty shit over Isabella Tennant's memorial page, then conveniently being there to give my personal information to her friends and family to come and kick my ass. Not to mention, when I confronted Clint/Brian in private at the Deceased show about his thread, and he laughed in my face and the rest of the show was mocking me even more. Then I told him online, that I will not be going to any more of his Funeral Home shows since he feels this way about me, he ended up having an admin edit all my posts to say I was going to "bring guns" to the Funeral Home, and edited my posts to call Tony Lorenzo a nigger. That's fucked up.

So yeah sorry if I feel just a little bit of hatred towards Clint/Brian.

    2. The only thing I'm really guilty of was verbally attacking Brian Hulin using his daughter. He was supposed to have a benefit show at the moose to help his daughter. This was around the time this shit went down. I was still pissed about me being banned from shows under false pretenses, and Brian Hulin comes out of left field with "I don't want you attending my daughter's benefit". I said "Fine", but Brian kept going "No seriously I don't want you there". Again I said "Fine". Then he starts with this shit, "You never contributed to the scene, bla bla bla", then I said "Well maybe if you learned how to hold a baby properly, your daughter wouldn't be the way she is now. If you didn't throw her in a mosh pit, we wouldn't need a benefit for her".

It was completely off the cuff, and said out of anger. I have apologized for saying that. But Clint/Brian used an online forum to mock me in a much hateful degrading way and so much more calculated and planned way than what I said about Brian Hulin.

I have made a big ruckus on the forum demanding for them to delete the thread. I ended up complaining to dreamhost about their libeling me, and later that night, the thread was removed. But still, I don't think it's right that Clint/Brian should be able to run shows because of this. Even Brian Pattison, who can be a dick, I don't think he is working of his own volition, I think Clint/Brian Aquilina convinced him I'm some bad guy when I'm not.

    3. See, I used to go to all the shows in the area and film the bands playing. Now that I'm banned, none of the bands are being filmed outside of 30 second low res cell phone clips with shitty sound. I went out and bought an HD camera that works great in high sound areas. Cell phones pick up the sound as heavy static. My camera sounds like a CD.

    1. And like I said I'm anti clint/brian not anti funeral home. The Funeral Home was a great concept, but Clint/Brian should not be running that place. And the post he made trying to get the place marketed as a community center is not cool, because he mocks autistic children online and someone like that is not fit to run a community center. I think the Funeral Home should be cleaned up, be properly licensed, etc, but Clint/Brian should not run it.

Love America, hate the assholes who run it.

  12. Besides, isn't a part of being metal standing up for yourself in the face of adversity? That means speaking up on issues you think are important without regard to how the majority thinks. So in my perspective, Clint Carr aka Brian Aquilina is the adversity, and I'm standing up for myself.

  14. I'll give Clint a chance. If you want to run the Funeral Home again, you need to book Forests of Old, Arseterror, and my black metal band, Vaginaal Nathrakh on the same bill. I can get you a business license within 2 days.

    1. And you don't need to fart around with marketing it as a community center. Let's call a spade a spade here.

  15. Truth is. Clint has no insurance on the place. If there was a fire or someone got hurt or someone ODed in the bathroom, Clint would be liable. Since Clint is poor and has no money, the families of the dead would be shit out of luck.

  16. Expect me to show at this "yard sale". There will be no ve iolence. Any threats against me are 100% empty. Clint/Brian needs to be on his best behavior. Clint doesn't want to blow his chances of getting a permit.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I will be at the yard sale sunday after I get out of work at 11 am. Better write down a list of insults to hurl at me for that day. Remember no violence. You need to look good for the City of Buffalo.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Look people, I know I can be a real asshole, but can you blame me? Let's forget about all the things Clint has done to me personally and focus on the issue now. This whole thing isn't about him getting a business license to run the Funeral Home. He is trying to raise money because he is being evicted. And to prove this, I am willing to stop talking about it for now. However you will be warned one last time that any and all donations to Clint Carr will be pocketed. When he comes out and says something like "Thanks for the help, but we can't get a license" or something to that effect, anyone who donated to him, also any bands that paid to book with me, please email me Mconstantino4@roadrunner.com and I will be willing to help out anyone who donated to him and any bands that pre booked and got stiffed by Clint get their money back.

    Thanks.

  20. Clint Car is a bully. Do not give him your money! He's just using it to buy little girls beer in hopes they'll stay over at his party house venue.

  28. Whenever I have the occasion to enter a funeral home, I am amazed at how warm and loving the atmosphere is. It must take a special kind of wonderful person to work in a funeral home. I am sure that the bereaved just pour out their souls in times of great loss.
